Admissions

If you would like to visit Norton C of E Primary School, meet the Head Teacher and have a look at Norton Primary School in action, please contact the school office (01452 730531) to arrange a convenient time.

Norton C of E Primary School's published admission number (PAN) is 16 pupils per year group.

All in-year admissions are processed in school by Mrs Jane Johnson (Head Teacher).

  • Parents/Carers are required to complete an In-Year Common Application Form (below) and return it to school to request a place.
  • On receipt of this form, a letter is sent to parents/carers by return informing them of the outcome.
  • A place will be offered if a place is available in the required year group (less than 16 pupils).
  • If the requested year group is full (more than 16 pupils) a letter will be sent refusing the place and the Admissions department at Gloucestershire County Council will be informed. The refusal letter offers parents/carers the opportunity to appeal against this decision via the Admissions department at Gloucestershire County Council.  An independant appeal panel will discuss each case individually and parents/carers are informed of the outcome by Gloucestershire County Council.

All reception and year 7 places are processed and allocated by the admission team at Gloucestershire County Council.
