School Council is made up of year 6 pupils. These pupils have many responsibilities including attending meetings with the Head Teacher and fund raising.   The School Council organise ’Operation Christmas Child’ (shoe boxes filled with gifts for disadvantaged pupils around the world),’ Food Bank Appeal’ (providing food for families in hard times) as well as fund raising activities for our chosen charity for this year, Superhero Foundation.

School Council also meet with governors to inform them about learning in school.

The School Council are a visible group actively helping the pupils in school and striving to ensure that Norton Primary School is a happy community.

This year school council are divided into our 4 houses (based around our vision). The theme is 'Turning Values into Action'

A huge thank from School Council for such a generous response to their Ukraine appeal.

The children have chosen to focus on "Turning values into actions" this year.

They have selected ambassadors for each house, to represent our school values in action in the world.

Strive - Malala Yousafzai
Think - Sir David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg
Act - HRH Prince William
Respect - Marcus Rashford

In sharing assembly this term, we have sharing our persuasive letters to each ambassador, with the hope that we get a reply!
