Hello parents and welcome to a new exciting year at Norton School!

We are Friends of Norton School, the PTA ...more commonly known as FONS!

For those new to the school, we are a very friendly, energetic and dedicated team of parents. Our focus as a group is to raise money to enhance the school experience for all children at Norton School, whether that be through additional equipment, activities or school resources that otherwise would not be available due to the ever-decreasing school budget.

As a team we meet regularly throughout the year to discuss and plan key events such as Christmas and summer fayres, School Discos along with raffles, cakes, books clothes sales, and any other fun way we can raise much needed monies!

We work closely with Mrs Farren to understand how best we can support the School and greatly appreciate any ideas from parents as to what you feel FONS should focus on for your children.

This year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is on Monday 7th October at the school. We will discuss roles of the committee namely Chair, treasurer and Secretary, and begin to brainstorm the diary of events for the year ahead.

WE WOULD LOVE NEW MEMBERS to join us......Please feel free to come along at 7.15pm....... A very warm welcome awaits you along with beverages, fun and lots of laughter!

We do understand life is busy and appreciate that not everyone can commit to attending meetings or would wish to be involved in planning or organising.

As a small team, our events themselves would not happen without the further support of parents and volunteers on the day, or without the help of all the school promoting the events and generous donations of goods, raffles prizes and much needed time!

In short, we would wholly welcome any offers of supporting FONS in any way you can.

Please do get in contact with us... speak to your class teacher who can connect you directly with a team member. Alternatively, you can email us on
