Mrs Kimberley Bluck
Bursar/School Business Manager
Hi, I’m Kimberley; I started working at Norton Primary School in 2006 and have never looked back. I thoroughly enjoy my job and feel very fortunate to be a part of ‘team Norton’. I enjoy watching the children grow and mature as they move through the school until they are ready for their next adventure – big school!
Previously I worked in a local hotel. I started as a waitress in the restaurant working a couple of evenings a week when my boys were young. As they settled into school life I stopped working evenings and worked part time in the office of the leisure department. Once they were at senior school I took on more hours working in Human Resources before finally moving into the accounts department.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, walking, running and attending the odd Zumba class!
Mrs Sheila Smith
I have been ‘in the office’ for 11 years now, having started as a parent volunteer in the then new library in 2005. As a result of volunteering I was offered a part time position in the office helping out the new Business Manager, Mrs Bluck, one morning a week. When the position became permanent and was advertised I applied for it, and here I am! A few years ago I also took on the role of midday supervisor which I enjoy very much – it is lovely to see the children at lunchtime.
My three children have all attended Norton School, the eldest starting in Reception in 1998 and the youngest leaving for secondary school in 2011. They have all grown up into wonderful adults now and I am incredibly proud of them.
Away from Norton School home life in the menagerie that is the Smith Family is fairly hectic, as well as our three children there is my lovely husband; and the horses, cats and dogs to stop me getting bored.
