Norton is proud to be a member of The Pride of Gloucestershire Trail 2025. Once the trail has finished, the little Lions will return to their forever homes. Ours will be coming home to Norton in October!

The large Lions will then be auctioned to raise funds for a new cancer centre that will offer local patients the very best environment for treatment, healing and recovery. ANY donation that helps us reach our £750 target would be greatly appreciated.

School Council introduces… Dog Parking!
Is your child wary or allergic to dogs? Do not worry, we have dog parking for the beloved pets, with complimentary water and poo bags.

School Council introduces…. a community book swap.

We have added a box for younger readers to the existing book swap at the bus stop in the village. We hope to add another for older readers in the future.

Take a book, leave a book.

School Council is made up of year 6 pupils and representatives from each year group. These pupils have many responsibilities including attending meetings with the Head Teacher and fund raising. The School Council organise ’Operation Christmas Child’ (shoe boxes filled with gifts for disadvantaged pupils around the world),’ Food Bank Appeal’ (providing food for families in hard times) as well as other fund raising activities.

This year’s focus has been on our School’s net zero plan. Our council regularly monitor the energy usage in our school as well as ensuring the cleanliness and quality of our playground to reduce wastage. Our “Biodiversity” committee worked with the little learners to create bird feeders in an endeavour to increase the biodiversity in the local area. The council have also been working with the headteacher to monitor transport to and from school throughout the school so we can consider how we may reduce our carbon footprint.
