Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Information Report

All schools now follow a new Code of Practice (2014) and this requires schools to publish their SEND School Information Report.  You will find lots of information in this section relating to SEND and our school.

Norton Primary School values the contribution that every child can make and welcomes the diversity of culture, religion and intellectual style. The school seeks to raise achievement, remove barriers to learning and increase physical and curricular access to all.  All children with special educational needs are valued and respected and are equal members of the school.  We passionately believe that all children should be able to reach their full potential.   We carefully plan support and interventions for all groups of children with specific educational needs.

Provision for children with SEND is a matter for the school as a whole.

If you need any further information please contact the school’s SEND Co-ordinator, Miss Alice Mannings. Please either phone the school on 01452 730531 or email: senco@norton.gloucs.sch.uk

Respect

our children know that everyone has the right to be themselves. Norton is a place where everyone can feel safe, be happy and learn. Everyone at our school is equal and acts with respect and kindness towards each other. Our children respect themselves and are proud to be part of an inclusive school.
