Worship during the week at Norton:
Daily prayers:
- Lunchtime prayers
Each class has a list of prayers and each day a child rolls the dice to decide which prayer they do before going out to lunch. The children take the lead for this in every class, where needed staff will always support with reading.
- School prayer
The school prayer is said at the end of every day either in class or at collective worships.
Our school prayer is based on our school houses and encourages us to think about how we act ourselves and as part of our school community:
Dear Lord,
Support us to be positive as we stretch out and STRIVE hard to reach our goals, and live out our Christian values,
Teach us to THINK about how we treat others and to use kind words and actions,
Always guide us to ACT responsibly when we want something to change in our school,
Remind us to RESPECT and celebrate everyone in our school community,
SHINE your love on us our Lord
Amen

Children involvement:
Children are the central part of every worship at Norton, and are always eager to be involved and help in any way they can. Their confidence in delivering worship and their enthusiasm to help shows how much they take our Christian values on board.
These are just some of the things they may do during a worship:
- Collect the objects needed for worship (Bible, Cross, Candle)
- Light and blow out the candle
- Write and say the prayer
- Read/act out a story
- Lead the dancing during singing worship (Dance club have started to create dances to some of the worship songs)
- Collect a worship helper sticker for helping!
Worship evaluations:
We always welcome feedback from anyone who attends one of our worships in school, why not use the form below to evaluate a worship you’ve attended and hand it in to the school office. Thank you.
