Personal Development

Norton Primary School provides a wealth of exciting learning and personal development opportunities outside of the national curriculum. During their time with us, all children will be offered a range of exciting experiences. These include:  learning about how to administer first aid, learning outside in our wonderful outside learning area, public speaking competitions (both Norton Junior pupils won the area finals for the ‘Look Who’s Talking’ oracy competition in March of this year) and a huge range of sporting competitions and opportunities. Our enrichment activities are fully inclusive and are often specifically designed to develop and enhance the pupils in our school. We currently offer 10 different teacher led after school clubs.

In order to thrive in modern Britain, pupils need to be able work in teams, be effective communicators and problem solve. Most importantly, they need to find joy. In a world dominated by technology and screens, we aim to foster a love of connecting with others, communication and appreciation. We hope that our personal development offer provides Norton children with these skills and opens up possibilities for every child.
